CLARA SMITH

HOPE, Ark.—Clara Smith, 96, of Fulton, Ark., died recently. Mrs. Smith was born June 14, 1922, in Saratoga, Ark. She was employed with Saratoga School District and a member of Harmony Church of Christ, Saratoga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Smith; and one son, Roy Lee. Survivors include one daughter, Hazel Gilliam of Saratoga; four grandchildren and three spouses, Larry and Latashia Gilliam of Saratoga, Cedric and Jacqueline Smith of Mineral Springs, Ark., Jenise Balor of Dallas and Audra and Macho Wilson of Texarkana; one brother, John L. Whitmore of Chicago; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Church of Christ. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
