HOPE, Ark.—Cebell Norton, 64, of Hope died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, in a local hospital. Ms. Norton was born June 28, 1954. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shearrel Brown. Survivors include two sons, Arthur Manning of Texarkana and James Brown of Hope; two daughters, Donna Harper and Catherine Thirdgill of Hope; five brothers, Andrew Couch and Johnny Brown of Bradley, Ark., Riley Grigsby of Hope, Ervin Flowers Sr. of Canfield, Ark., and David Brown of Denver, Colo.; eight sisters, Velma Davis of Bradley, Berlee White and Linda Cooper of Canfield, Rosezell Harris of Texarkana, Marilyn Calton of Stamps, Ark., Geraldine Jackson of Detroit, Mich., Carolyn Law of Houston and Alice Turner of Lewisville, Ark.; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rising Star Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Waldo, Ark., under direction of Brandon's Mortuary.
