Jerry Edward Walker, 77, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, in Texarkana. Mr. Walker was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Texarkana. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a Baptist and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Walker. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Walker of Texarkana; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Glen and Cynthia Thompson and Brandon Walker of Texarkana and Mark and Brigitte Thompson of Parkland, Wash.; one daughter and son-in-law, Jerri Michelle and Tracy Walton of Texarkana; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Reid officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.
