JESSE ADAMS

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Jesse Lee Adams, 92, of DeKalb, Texas, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Adams was born Nov. 2, 1925, in Emory, Texas. He was a retired oil field worker, a self-employed beekeeper and a member of First Baptist Church, New Boston. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jo Adams of New Boston; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephen J. "Doc" and Andrea Adams of Simms, Texas, James H. and Judith Adams of Tenaha, Texas, and Rickey L. Adams of DeKalb; one brother, Pete Adams of Spring, Texas; two sisters, Effie Daniels of Oklahoma and Mary Childers of Campbell, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Dr. Patrick Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
