JOHNNY BURKE

HOPE, Ark.—Johnny Calvin Burke, 82, of Hope died Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Burke was born Nov. 12, 1935, in DeAnn, Ark. He was preceded in death by one son, John Gilbert Burke; and one grandson, Jackson Calvin Burke. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Flowers Burke; two stepdaughters, Dana Cox and Julie Paddie; one grandson, Nate Burke; four stepgrandchildren, Will Cox, Hunter Sears, Zac Cox and Heather Sears Formby; the mother of his grandson, Jodi Burke; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Hope.
