Rusty Stringer

Larry Russell "Rusty" Stringer, age 43, of Queen City, Texas, died Monday, August 13, 2018 in a Bridgeport, West Virginia hospital. Rusty was born December 17, 1974 in Texarkana, Texas, and lived in the surrounded area most of his life. He was employed with Associated Pipe Line Contractors Inc. as a Gas and Pipe Line Welder. Rusty was also a member of the Pipe Liners Local Union 798 out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Rusty was a tender hearted person, but very set in his ways. He was a loving father, brother, son, uncle and a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Don Stringer. He is survived by two daughters, Kailee Stringer of Queen City Texas, and Sutton Kenlee Stringer of Queen City, Texas, one son, Mason Wayne Stringer, of Queen City, Texas, his parents, Larry Stringer of Hooks, Texas, and Dixie Stringer of Queen City, Texas, his sister and brother-in-law, Laurie and Anthony Vargas of Arnold, Maryland, the mother of his children, Kristi Green of Queen City, Texas, one nephew, Austin Stringer and his canine friend, Serg and a number of friends and other relatives. Graveside services will be 10:00 A. M. Monday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Josh Lee officiating. Burial will under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
