ATLANTA, Texas—Aubrey "Hoss" May Jr., 70, of Atlanta died Friday, Aug. 17, 2018. Mr. May was born May 13, 1948, in Linden, Texas. He was a mechanic; former truck driver, actor and city judge; member of Laws Chapel United Methodist Church and DAV; and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Crystal Lorena May. Survivors include his wife, Margaret May of Atlanta; one son, Bryan May of Atlanta; one daughter and son-in-law, Holley and Willie Burns of Atlanta; his father, Aubrey May Sr. of Bivins, Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, William and Sharon May of Atlanta and Michael May of Bivins; one sister, Wylenne Surratt of Linden, Texas; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Madalynn Moore; and one special nephew, Eric Garrison of Mechanicsville, Va. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hanner Funeral Service with Dr. John Wilkey officiating. Burial will be in Bethsaida "Y" Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral service.
