BARBARA STONE

Barbara Ann Stone, 73, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at her home. Ms. Stone was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Cherry Valley, Ark. She was retired from the Bowie County Sheriff's Department and Bowie County Adult Probation office and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Marc Stone Hampton. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Wendy and Donnie Lynch and Penny and Howard Smith of Delight, Ark., and Kelly Buster of Bloomburg, Texas; four grandchildren, Rocky Gray of Texarkana, Ark., Lacey Hampton of Plano, Texas, and Christian Buster and Lauren Buster of Bloomburg, Texas; one special friend, Mary Choate of Texarkana, Texas; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Douglas Anderson officiating under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
