JOSE COVAS-CASTANERA

HOPE, Ark.—Jose Antonio Covas-Castanera, 77, of Hope died Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at his home. Mr. Covas-Castanera was born May 13, 1941, in Guayama, Puerto Rico. He was retired from the Air Force and a linguist with the U.S. Embassy in Italy. Survivors include his wife, Eve Covas M.D.; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jose III and Schelley Covas of Norphlet, Ark., Joaquin Covas of Waco, Texas, and Jaime Covas and fiance Kristi of Viola, Ark.; one brother, Luis Covas of Viola; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a number of other relatives.
