MARY WEEMS

Mary Elizabeth Weems, 81, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Weems was born Nov. 2, 1936, in Andover, Mass. She was a member of Rhema Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Hood. Survivors include her husband, Harold Weems Sr. of Texarkana, Ark.; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Harold Jr. and Laura Weems of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Bill Windham and Roland Windham of Texarkana, Texas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane with the Rev. Jesse Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
