CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Aletha Meador, 94, of Avery, Texas, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Meador was born March 25, 1924, in Avery. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Avery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Meador; one son, Freddie Meador; one daughter, Judy Meador; one grandson, Colby Rawls; and one great-grandson, Joshua Williams. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Sue Meador of English, Texas; one daughter, Brenda Glass of Avery; five grandchildren, Michelle Warren, Amanda Meador, Aaron Rawls, Brian Meador and Tracey Lambert; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Clarksville Funeral Home with Tommy Morgan, Deanie Lambert and Michelle Warren officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery.
