ELSIE FISCHER

Elsie Janice Fischer, age 79, of Hooks, Texas, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Fischer was born April 27, 1939, in Rockwall, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James Fischer of Hooks; one daughter, Deanna Jones; one son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Bridget Emmons of Mesquite, Texas; one step-daughter and step son-in-law, Cherrie and Ed Ferguson of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Zachary and Michelle Emmons of Caddo Mills, Texas and Samantha and Matt Bates of Rowlett, Texas; two step-grandchildren, Christina Ferguson and Frank Ferguson of Arlington, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Lilah Grace Emmons, August Ryan Emmons and Madden Dale Jon Bates. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Hooks, Texas, with Rev. Kyle Peters officiating.
