ESTELLE CHEATHAM

Estelle Nichols Cheatham, 100, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Cheatham was born May 8, 1918 in Miller County, Ark. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, N.K. Cheatham. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Kay Cheatham of Flower Mound, Texas; one sister, Letha Yarberry of Shreveport, La.; two grandchildren, Bryan Bankhead of Arlington, Texas, and Dana Bankhead of Grapevine, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Bankhead, Hannah Bankhead, Madelyn Bankhead and Jack Bankhead; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial is under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
