MORRIS HICKS

Morris Wayne Hicks, 74, of Maud, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018. Mr. Hicks was born Feb. 25, 1944, in Maud. He was retired from Kelly Springfield/Goodyear and a former employee of Red River Army Depot and Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. Survivors include his wife, Arlene Hester Hicks of Maud; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne Hicks and Jennifer Pruitt of Lindale, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cherie Marie and Terry Teel of Highland Village, Texas, and Mary Laura and Ronnie Vandiver of Lindale; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Mike Chiles of Maud; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Faith Community Baptist Church, Maud, with Augustine Alaniz officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
