Juanita Jeane Staggs

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Juanita Jeane Staggs, 87, of Horatio. Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospice. Mrs. Staggs was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Horatio, Ark. She worked in jewelry sales at J.C. Penney, was a homemaker and a member of Horatio Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Caitlyn Rebecca Philemon. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Staggs of Horatio; two sons, John D. Rogers III of Houston and Parick Rogers of Cypress, Texas; three daughters, Joy Smothers of Nacogdoches, Texas, Cynthia Rogers Tucker of Horatio and Sherri Philemon of Charlotte, N.C.; three stepchildren, Terry Staggs of Andrews, Texas, Latrice Brooks of Clovis, N.M., and DeAnna Funderburg of Hedley, Texas; one sister, Loretta Reid of Horatio; 25 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chandler Funeral Home with John Gutierres and Doug Akin officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.
