Betty Henderson

Betty Jo (Hooper) Henderson of Texarkana, Texas was born on November 21, 1946 in Waldron, Arkansas and passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018, in Benton, Arkansas at the age of 72. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ottis Hooper and Hazel Bergerson and a very special aunt, Carrie Carr. Betty was a beautiful, compassionate and feisty woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother and wonderful "Ganny." Betty was an amazing cook, seamstress and business owner. Betty will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her friendly, outgoing personality, sharp mind and quick wit. She was a longtime member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Texarkana, AR. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald Henderson of Texarkana, TX and their three children: Todd Henderson (Nicole) of Texarkana, Texas, Melissa Davis of Hallsville, Texas, and Amy Arnold (Neil) of Benton, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one of these charities close to Betty's heart, St. Jude Children's Hospital, St. Joseph's Indian School or The Wounded Warrior Project.
