BRENDA BARKSDALE

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Brenda Joyce Barksdale, 71, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, in a Paris, Texas hospital. Mrs. Barksdale was born Aug. 22, 1947. She was a member of Shawnee Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, McKinley Barksdale Jr. of Clarksville; one son, Tracy Harris Sr. of Clarksville; three daughters, Tamika Jones Harris, Shelia Woodberry and Christi Barksdale of Clarksville; one brother, Cave Harris Jr. of Detroit, Texas; three sisters, Lanetta Ross and Miyoshi Gray Jackson of Paris and Sonya McCulloch of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Citizens Funeral Home with the Rev. S.S. Carreathers officiating. Burial will be in Thompson-Townes Cemetery. Online registration is at citizensfuneralhome.com.
