OTIS HOWARD

HOPE, Ark.—Otis James Howard, 66, of Hope died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at his home. Mr. Howard was born Jan. 9, 1952, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He was a retired maintenance coordinator with University of Arkansas and a Christian. He was preceded in death by one grandson, James Dale "Tre" Abrams III. Survivors include his wife, Betty Mitchell Howard; five sons, David Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Darius Taylor, Donovan Taylor and Otis Howard Jr.; two daughters, Shanae Abrams and Sonia Taylor-Jackson; five brothers, A.D. Dabbs, Charles Howard, Wade Howard, Jimmy Lee and Zoren Howard; three sisters, Linda Emory, Mary Key and Bessie Fay Howard; 18 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at New Testament House of Prayer under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body may be viewed 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
