DORA DYER

Dora Mae Dyer, 97, of Lake Charles, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, in Lake Charles. Mrs. Dyer was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Dallas City, Ill. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rudolph "Doc" Dyer; one son, William R. "Bill" Dyer Jr.; and one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Galloway. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jimmy Latour and Edna and Larry Breaux; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at East Funeral Home, Downtown, with Sue Ellen Hall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Ark., or Alzheimer's Association.
