SHERMAN GILES JR.

Sherman Edgar Giles Jr., 81, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Giles was born March 16, 1937, in Texarkana. He was retired Divisional Marketing Manager for SWEPCO and a member of First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Venita Giles; and one grandson, Wesley Dove. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Bill Dove of Texarkana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Derick and Kristen Giles and Scott and Holly Giles of Texarkana; and four grandchildren, Savannah Giles, Braxton Giles, Clark Giles and Jackson Giles. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Jaimie Alexander officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
