MAGNOLIA, Ark.—James Zell Brown Jr., 53, of Lewisville, Texas, formerly of Magnolia, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, in a Carrollton, Texas, hospital. Mr. Brown was born Nov. 16, 1965, in Waldo, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Brown of Lewisville; five children, Kenneth Brown, James Brown III, Nicholis Smith, Marcus Battle, Chris Roper and Ashley Washington; his mother, Valestene Jackson of Magnolia; four sisters, Joyce Porchia and Vonda Jefferson of Muskegon, Mich., and Glenda Reed and Jackie Monk of Magnolia; six brothers, James L. Evans of Kingsland, Ga., Dashawn Evans and Daryl Jefferson of Muskegon, Mich., Kenny Jefferson of Romulus, Mich., Curt Reed of Magnolia and Steve Reed of Emerson, Ark. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Burial will be in 23rd Psalms Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
