CARLA STRACHAN

QUEEN CITY, Texas—Carla Ann Strachan, 53, of Hooks, Texas, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. Mrs. Strachan was born Dec. 25, 1964. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Strachan. Survivors include three sons, Michael Venable of Hooks and Ben Hopkins and Vessen Hopkins of Genoa, Ark.; three daughters, Kala Marie Venable of Hooks, Ashley Joann Venable of Texarkana and Savenna Turner of Cotton, La.; her mother, Dessie Ponder of Alexandria, La.; two sisters, Tina Marie Langston of Alexandria, La., and Betty Jo Head-Hogeland of Hooks; one special friend, Charlie York; 15 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Queen City Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sandy Hill Cemetery, Simms, Texas. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
