HARVEY SIMS

MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Harvey "Buddy Boy" Sims, 68, of Falcon, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at his home. Mr. Sims was born July 30, 1949, in Lewisville, Ark. He was a deacon at Saint Matthew Baptist Church, McNeil, Ark., and a former deacon at Clevet Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Falcon. Survivors include his wife, Emma Sims of Falcon; one daughter, Yolanda Sims of Falcon; one son, Harvey Alexander Sims of Falcon; five sisters, Lacy Bradford of Minden, La., Johnnie Bell Sims of Lewisville, Learlean Sanders of Magnolia, Joella Sims of Minden, and Mrs. Barbara Porter of Columbus, Ark.; three brothers, Ernest Sims of Stamps, Ark., David Sims of Minden and Jerry Sims of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one aunt; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union-Boyd Hill Cemetery, Lewisville. Visitation will be from noon to 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
