HUESTON KOONTZ

Hueston Koontz, 64, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, in a Shreveport, La., hospital. Mr. Koontz was born May 6, 1953 in Johnstown, Pa. He was a certified nurses assistant, Christian and Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include his wife, Jem Jones Koontz of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jennifer Koontz of Johnstown; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and David Clifford of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Len Koontz of Tennessee and Ted Koonze of Johnstown; one sister, Carol Carothers of Johnstown; three grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, with the Rev. Ryan Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to Jeff Tarpley Animal Rescue, Texarkana, Texas.
