J.B. MARTIN

HOPE, Ark.—J.B. Martin, 91, of Hope died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Martin was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Spring Hill, Ark. He was a self-employed brick layer, a member of First Baptist Church, Hope, and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Savannah Grace. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Martin of Hope; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Bo Burke of Hope; one sister, Geraldine Shelton of Beaumont, Texas; three grandchildren and two spouses, Chad and Rachel Burke of Brighton, Tenn., Josh Burke of Cordova, Tenn., and Allison Burke and Glenn Lee of Hope; and seven great-grandchildren. Private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
