JAMES LANEY

NAPLES, Texas—James Edward Laney, 84, of Omaha, Texas, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Mr. Laney was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Linden, Texas. He worked in the logging industry and was an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Laney; and one son, Michael Laney. Survivors include one daughter, Sandy McNeil of Mexia, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Virginia Laney of Cookville, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
