Harlon Robinson

Harlon Robinson, 86, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Harlon was born December 25, 1931, in Bryans Mill, Texas. After an honorable discharge from the Marines in 1952, he moved to Alaska and married Carolyn Jean Moses from Texarkana. Harlon and Carolyn Jean then made a life in Fairbanks, Alaska. In 1973, they moved back to Texarkana where they spent the rest of their lives. Harlon was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Carolyn Jean Robinson. He is survived by his son; Craig Robinson and daughter-in law Joyce Robinson; daughter, Kelly Shelton; grandchildren, Shawn Shelton, Chris Shelton and Candis Robinson. Harlon believed the Holy Spirit brought him to his true Christian faith. He lived a very blessed life surrounded by the extended family, a supportive Church community and friends he cherished and loved greatly. Services to be held at First Lutheran Church in Texarkana, Texas, on Saturday February 17, 2018, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Scott Sundbye officiating. Burial services will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Nash, Texas, with military honors. Harlon requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to First Lutheran Church, 4600 Texas Blvd. Texarkana, Texas 75503. Arrangements are entrusted to Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
