Juanita Evelyn Thomason Campagna, 74, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Jan. 18, in Mansfield, Texas, as a result of complications from dementia and congestive heart failure. She lived in Texarkana and Wake Village, Texas, most of her life and graduated from Texas High School. She also resided in Las Vegas and in the Midway community near Friendship, Ark., for several years. Before her illness, she enjoyed cooking, the dramatic arts, traveling, and learning about new cultures. She was a Baptist. Born March 24, 1943 in Malvern, Ark., she was preceded in death by her parents, Dock J. and Geneva E. Thomason. She is survived by two loving children, Julia (Jeff) of Mansfield, Texas, and Robert Weaver of Wake Village, Texas; a sister, Linda (Dennis) Byrd of Benton, Ark.; two grandchildren, whom she adored, Jordan and Jackson Drummond of Mansfield, Texas; nieces, nephews; and many other friends and relatives. She will be cremated, which she requested. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Wake Village, Texas, with the Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. A time of visitation and fellowship will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Evergreen Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church of Wake Village, Texas.
