J.D. ORMAND

STAMPS, Ark.—J.D. Ormand, 82, of Stamps died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018. Mr. Ormand was born May 3, 1935, in Stephenville, Texas. He was a retired letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, former body repairman for Stamps Auto Company and David Morehead Auto Repair, former Stamps City Council alderman, a Christian and a Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lanie Sue Ormand of Stamps; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Patricia Ormand of Stamps; two grandsons, Josh Ormand and Braxton Harris of Stamps; six nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. John Noggle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
