James Edward "Ed" Taylor

James Edward Taylor "Ed", age 93, passed away Monday, February 19, while in hospice care at Texarkana. "Mr. Ed" was a faithful Christian and a fine servant. He loved to grow tomatoes and give them away. He happily mowed his church's lawn well into his 80s. His family especially wants to thank his neighbors for sacrificially helping him so many years after his wife's passing. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jacqueline Ann Taylor and by one grandson, Luke Alexander Taylor. He has one surviving sibling, Mrs. Lou Gurnard of Wenatchee, WA, four surviving children: Cathy Henderson of Texarkana, TX, Remmel Taylor of Louisville, KY, Laura Hodge of Dallas, TX and Lisa McFatter of Lake Jackson, TX, as well as 9 grandchildren. Mr. Taylor's funeral will be held on Saturday, February 24, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Walnut Church of Christ, 2720 Moores Lane, in Texarkana with Messrs. John and Patrick Cannon officiating. A short visitation will follow. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers donations can be made either to the Walnut Church of Christ's mission fund or to Hospice of Texarkana.
