ARLENE MARTIN

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Valerie Arlene Hosey Martin, 85, of De Queen died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Martin was born July 16, 1932, in the Schaal Community in Howard County, Ark. She was a member of the Sunshine Club, Union Quilting Club, Red Hat Club and Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jack Moulder and Henry Martin. Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Diaz and Carolyn Ng of De Queen and Valerie Sue Levein of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Jimmy Ray Hosey of Nashville, Ark.; two sisters, Sandra Kay Hosey and Dorothy Hill of Mineral Springs, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chandler Funeral Home with Toney Stowers officiating. Burial will be in Redmen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
