EDITH BARENTINE

Edith "Edie" Barentine, 76, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Barentine was born July 29, 1941, in Little Rock, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colbert Lee Barentine. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie Crouch and Jimmy Rainey, Alyson Ambler Crouch and Steve Shelton, and Christina Maxwell and Eric Babcock; one brother, Wayne Garland; one niece, Liesel Garland Riley; one nephew, Jason Garland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Dunn and Greg Burks officiating under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown.
