LEE JOHNSON

Lee Edward Johnson, 74, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017. Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 17, 1943, in Garland City, Ark. He was retired from Southwest Arkansas Telephone Co-op, a Baptist and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Pickering Johnson of Texarkana; five daughters, Julie Walker and Charlotte Gordon of Texarkana, Texas, Cynthia Ewart of Fouke, Ark., Debbie Aaron of Texarkana, Ark., and Teresa Stewart of Doyline, La.; two sons, Roger Johnson and Randy Johnson of Texarkana, Texas; two stepchildren, Kimberly Johnston of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Chris Johnston of Texarkana, Ark.; one brother, Charles Ray Hamilton of Jefferson, Texas; one sister, Rosalie Reed of Big Springs, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Rev. Craig Jenkins officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Rondo Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Nick and Julie Walker, 15 Blackfriars Road, Texarkana, Texas.
