ROY BROWN

ATLANTA, Texas—Roy E. Brown, 82, of Doddridge, Ark., died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. Mr. Brown was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Tyler, Texas. He was the retired owner and operator of B Truck and Trailer and a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Joe Brown; and one daughter, Tracy Baker. Survivors include his wife, Myrna Brown of Doddridge; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Billy Bob Barr of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Blake Barr, Sunni Clements, Jared Baker, Sarah Barr and Megan Brown; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Smyrna Baptist Church with Gene Parker officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
