J.G. "Pete" Pringle, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Pringle was born Dec. 15, 1929 in Waco, Texas. He was a retired police officer for the Corpus Christi, Texas, Police Department, former owner of Peter's Auto Sales; past president of the Texas Law Enforcement Association, a pilot, a Master Mason, a Marine pilot, a Christian and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Jessica Pringle of Texarkana; one son, Jon Marc Pringle of Texarkana; two daughters, Jan Baker and Larkin Jarvis of Texarkana; two stepdaughters, Cissy Beck and Mary Francis Schriener of Texarkana; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Troy and Melissa Harris and David and Renee Harris of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Martha Sedberry of Waco; 15 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
