DeKALB, Texas—Helen Jaqueline Ivy, 80, of DeKalb died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Ivy was born Jan. 10, 1937 in Hope. She was a seamstress and a Christian. She was preceded in death by one son, Rickey Henderson. Survivors include her husband, Lonnie M. Ivy of DeKalb; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Brenda Harkreader of DeKalb, Michelle and Don Kantak of Falon, Colo., and Debbie and David Bridger of Chester, Va.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Sue Henderson of The Colony, Texas, and Lonnie M. Jr. and Susie Ivy of Chester; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Private memorial service will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Red Lobster in Texarkana, Texas. Cremation is under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
