MARY HAWKINS

Mary Jane Hawkins, 94, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at her home. Ms. Hawkins was born May 11, 1923, in Tallulah, La. She was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Bettye and Leroy Samuels of Paris, Texas, and Allene and George Norman of Colombia, Mo.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and Joyce Hawkins of Mansfield, La., and Thomas Jr. and Barbara Hawkins of Texarkana; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Park Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
