PRESCOTT, Ark.—Robert O. Russell Jr., 94, of Prescott died Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Russell was born July 21, 1923, in Cabot, Ark. He was a civil engineer, a member of Operating Engineer Union and a World War II Marine veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Russell; and one son, T. Michael Russell. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Robert Andrews of Prescott; one sister, Bernice Thatcher of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren, Todd Harvey of Conway, Ark., Kelly Fountain and Ryan Harvey of Prescott, Joshua Russell of Seattle and Cody Russell of Seaside, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in Laneburg Cemetery.
