DeKALB, Texas—Danny Boyd Yates, 63, of Pittsburg, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at his home. Mr. Yates was born Jan. 4, 1954, in DeKalb. He was a farmer, a rancher and a Baptist. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Janice Yates of Terrell, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathie and John Mckinnie of Texarkana, Texas, and Vicki and Danny Orr of DeKalb; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Bates Family Funeral Home with Chuck Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
