NAPLES, Texas—Charlene Drake, 90, of Naples died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, in Daingerfield, Texas. Mrs. Drake was born April 5, 1927, in Mount Vernon, Texas. She retired as office manager from the Texas Department of Human Services and was a member of First Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, Texas, where she served as church secretary. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Rutledge; and one granddaughter, Leslie Lykins. Survivors include two daughters, Artis Roberts of Naples and Kathy Powers of Hot Springs, Ark.; one son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Wanda Drake of Nash, Texas; one sister, Anna Davis of Humble, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and other relatives. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Mount Vernon Cemetery with Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will be under direction of Harrison Funeral Home.
