SUSY LESTER

Sue Ann "Susy" Lester, 71, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at a local hospital. Mrs. Lester was born Sept. 9, 1946, in Texarkana, Texas. She was formerly employed by the Texarkana, Ark., School District and the Cooper Tire and Rubber Co. She was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Dan Lester of Texarkana, Ark.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Robee and Robyn Carter of Texarkana, Ark., Kevin and Darla Lester of Genoa, Ark., and Dr. Preston and Manjula Carter of Texarkana,Texas; two sisters-in-law, Barbara McWilliams of Texarkana, Ark., and Linda Hall of Vicksburg, Miss.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. today at Beech Street First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Posey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Online registration is at texarkanafuneralhome.com.
