AUDREY SPANHANKS

Audrey Lena Spanhanks, 79, of Fouke, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at a local hospital. Mrs. Spanhanks was born May 14, 1938, in Garvin, Okla. She was a seamstress and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hosea Spanhanks. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Spanhanks of Minnesota, Larry and Twyla Spanhanks of Texarkana, Ark., and Bobby Spanhanks and Mike and Gaylyn Spanhanks of Fouke; one sister, Louise Little of Houston; two brothers, Wayne Whisenhunt of Ashdown, Ark., and J. W. Whisenhunt of Nashville, Ark.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online registration is at texarkanafuneralhome.com.
