Ruth Hall

Alma Ruth Hall, age 80, of Hooks, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, January 8, 2018 in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Hall was born February 9, 1937 in Avinger, Texas. She was formerly employed with the Hooks Independent School District. She was a homemaker and a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Stevie Sturdivant; one brother William Sturdivant and one sister Juanita Sturdivant. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years Kenneth Hall of Hooks, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Vic McKinney of Ashdown, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law David and Belinda Hall of Hope, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Cody McKinney and his wife Gara of Foreman, Arkansas, Abby Parton of Ashdown Arkansas, Justin Hall and his wife Katherine of Canton, Georgia; nine great grandchildren; one brother Edward Sturdivant and his wife Nell of Denham Springs, Louisiana; one sister Edith Storie and her husband John of Bentonville, Arkansas Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Peters and Rev. James Seigler officiating: Burial will be in Myrtle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
