W.E. MALOY

W.E. "Bill" Maloy, 97, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at his home. Mr. Maloy was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Brooklyn, Miss. He was retried from Red River Army Depot and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, McKinzie Reese Klimaszewski of Texarkana. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Maloy of Texarkana; three daughters, Peggy Dowd of Little Rock, Ark., and Lynn Baird and Dina Klimaszewski of Texarkana; three sons, David Maloy of Minnesota, Robert Maloy of Jasper, Ala., and Tony Maloy of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Jenny Bryant of McHenry, Miss.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of friends and other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Buchanan First Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Brazile officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Chapel Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Texas, under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
