DOROTHY CARTER

HOPE, Ark.—Dorothy "Nadine" Stuart Carter of Hope died recently. Mrs. Carter was born Feb. 18, 1932. She was a member of Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church, Hope. She was preceded in death by five children, Richard Carter, Sharon Brown, Fredell Carter, Eugene Carter and Betty Sue Carter. Survivors include six children, Johnny Smith of Des Moines, Iowa, Essie Martin, Karenell McFadden, Shelia Douglas and Donald Ray Carter of Texarkana and Dagnea Carter of Arkadelphia, Ark.; two brothers, Burnell Stuart and Ronald Stuart of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Ollie Nell Wilson of Detroit, Mich., and Phyllis Jean Burton of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Giles Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today with visitation 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
