MARY BLACKWELL

Mary Lois Brewer Blackwell, 89, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Ms. Blackwell was born Sept. 23, 1928, in Index, Texas. She was employed with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. Survivors include seven daughters, Barbara Blackwell, Linda Madlock, Patricia Blackwell, Felecia Bell, Sandra Runnels and Stephanie Nelson of Texarkana and Irma Blackwell of Austin; five sons, Gary Blackwell and Richard Blackwell Sr. of Texarkana, Clarence Blackwell of Nash, Texas, Louis Blackwell Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, and William Blackwell of Austin; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. R.J. Blackwell Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the church.
