MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Alma Beasley Burris, 86, of McNeil, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at a local hospital. Ms. Burris was born March 24, 1931, in Waldo, Ark. She was a certified nurse's assistant at Meadowbrook Lodge Nursing Home and a member of Cotton Belt Church of God in Christ, Waldo. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hertis Beasley and Bernice Burris; two sons, Wade Beasley and Dennis Beasley; and one great-grandchild, Keviunte Beasley. Survivors include seven daughters, Bettye Goff of Rowlett, Texas, Erma Turner of McNeil, Ark., Alverdia Jones of Houston, Mary Louise Beasley and Cassandra Beasley of Waldo, Ark., Mae Lan King of Stephens, Ark., and Teresa Jones of Texarkana; 29 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cotton Belt Church of God in Christ with James Turner and Elder Kevin Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Kendrick Chapel Cemetery under direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon to 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
