DeKALB, Texas—Clifford Leon Crouch, 93, of Avery, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Crouch was born Dec. 29, 1924. He was retired from Red River Army Depot Ammunition Operations, a member of First Baptist Church, DeKalb, and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Crouch; and one granddaughter, Tara Batrice. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Rogers Crouch of Avery; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Shelly Crouch of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Wayne Ferguson of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Reta and Curtis McCullough of DeKalb; one foster son, Stephen Penny; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bates Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Bowie Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
