NEW BOSTON, Texas—Mary Elaine Sanford, 65, of New Boston died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, in a local hospital. Ms. Sanford was born Oct. 20, 1952, in Sinton, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Sanford. Survivors include four daughters, Eve Gaffuri of Lincoln, Calif., Jennifer Ferguson of New Boston, Carol Goodman of Elizabeth Town, Penn., and Susan Vicars of Sweeney, Texas; four sons, Michael Ferguson of Hooks, Texas, Thomas Stehr of Williston, N.D., Matthew Sanford of Yuma, Ariz., and Leonard 'Butch' Sanford III of Lake Jackson, Texas; two brothers, John Patterson of San Antonio and Joseph "Riley" Patterson of Corpus Christi, Texas; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
