Frances Anne "Miss Ann" Bauer Armstrong, age 75 of Long Beach, MS, relocated to Heaven on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest M. Bauer, and Ruby Frances Keller Bauer; brother, Max Bauer; and granddaughters, Kristi and Kenzley Gillis. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John W. Armstrong; children, Christopher (Claire) Armstrong, Amy (Kenny) Gillis, Andrea (Bill) Elenbaas; sister, Linda Davis; grandchildren, Steven Gac, Maggie, Zoe, and Allie Armstrong, Max Elenbaas; and her beloved pets, dog Daisy, cat Slats, and parakeet Mim, as well as numerous extended family members and besties, Jane Waugh and Nancy Smith. A native of Texarkana, AR, Ann grew up the youngest of 3. She was very social and delighted in entertaining friends and family. She was one of her son's Cub Scout Leaders and a chaperone on many Church Youth trips to Mountain TOP in TN. Ann was very engaged in Church activities with the First United Methodist Church of Long Beach and the South Mississippi Cursillo Community. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the USM Fleming Auditorium at 730 E. Beach Blvd, Long Beach, with a visitation for family and friends from 9:00 AM until the service. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, Ann requested memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of South MS at hssm.org. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach is serving the family.
